My Opinion on Censorship NCC 11/28/11

Censorship is when the government controls what we see and hear. Well it is not exactly the government that controls it, but the government does have a hand in it. The federal communications commission (FCC) had to follow The Telecommunications act of 1996 and create guidelines for what has that black and white parental advisory sticker in the corner of the CD case. I think that censorship, though it protects impressionable young minds, is a violation of our first amendment right to freedom of speech and expression. The corporate minds and the government want to undermine us and our freedoms, they want to control us by controlling the media. They try to censor the truth which is what we want to hear. Do you want to hear about rainbows and kittens, or do you want to hear about real life?

                                                                                         Hugs and cuddles,
                                                                                                     NCC
