As you know, they treated colored people differently then so when the bus splashed the kids, it was their way of saying, we dislike you. White's always got treated with way more respect and instead of the bus stopping it kept going as of to say, yo udon't deserve any respect.
• How do the children get their revenge on the white bus driver
and his passengers? Do you think this was right?
The kids got their revenge by digging holes in the ground that are soon filled with rain. The bus got stuck in the washout. I don't think it was right because now anything can happen to them now that they got their revenge. Soon, the white men will find out who did it and the Logan's may get the same results that the Berry's did.
• What might it feel like to be the only person in town to have a
big, fancy car?
I think it might feel daring because people may get jealous and may be willing to do anything in order to take that car away from you. People might try to flat your tires, bust your windows or even steal the car. So, to me, it's daring.
Interesting perspective. I cannot remember the quote exactly, but it positioned that people do not make a difference in the world by following the rules ALL THE TIME.
ReplyDeleteNow that I think about it, there are so many revolutionaries that have changed the world because they were unconventional and did not follow the rules.
What do you think?
Hey, as rebellious as your class is, I would not be surprised if you all changed the world.
