The Giver from NCC's point of view 11/9/11

We read pages 30-45 of The Giver today. Jonas is finally having his Ceremony of Twelve, but it takes a long time because he has to go through two days of ceremonies before he gets to his because there are ceremonies for every age. His best friend Asher is feeling nervous because he thinks that he will not like his assignment. Jonas feels anxious at the "midday meal" because his ceremony is right after. The book is getting more and more interesting as we read along. I am really wondering what Jonas' assignment will be. The ceremonies seem a lot like graduations.
